Gateway Rural Bank Incorporated, or “Gatebank” as it is more commonly known, started its operations on May 27, 1997, in its first banking unit located beside the public market in Mc Arthur Highway, Balagtas, Bulacan. On October 25, 1998, the Bank opened its first branch in the municipality of Bustos, Bulacan, where it was able to extend financial assistance to small farmers, who are into paddy and vegetable production, and entrepreneurs, especially those with small cottage industry projects like bag making.
